Enhancing Lincoln, DE Crawlspace
This homeowner reached out to us because they have been looking to encapsulate their crawlspace for quite some time now. They had us come take a look to see how we could help make the area clean and healthy moving forward. After first look, we noticed the old insulation was hanging and needed to be removed and a waterproofing system needed to be added.   Our team went in and removed all that old insulation and added our CleanSpace system along with a brand-new top of the line waterproof system. This system includes a SmartSump, IceGuard to prevent floods from clogged or frozen discharge line, LawnScape outlet at the end of the discharge line and a HydroLink perimeter drainage system.
No standing water but this crawls space needed to be dry!
Even though this home had no standing water in their crawl space there was evidence that moisture had been present. During the inspection of the home, Dan the System Design Specialist, found areas of mold growing on the floors. The solution for this homeowner was to have their crawl space encapsulated and to add a dehumidifier. By emanating the moisture from entering the crawl space through the ground and then adding a dehumidifier you are taking away one element that mold needs to grow and thrive. Mold in a crawl space can cause a number of different problems, ranging form allergies to wood rot.

Salisbury, MD Crawl Space Encapsulation
When floors are insulated, the insulation can hold moisture in a crawl space and start to fall. For this Salisbury, MD home, the insulation had fallen and become soaked with groundwater, causing microbial growth. With cold floors and a musty smell, the homeowner knew they needed to call a crawl space expert to do repairs. DryZone completely removed the wet insulation from underneath the home and encapsulated this crawl space. To control moisture in the air, they also installed a dehumidifier.
Supporting a Home with Helical Piers in Salisbury, MD
Building additions onto a home can help expand your living space without needing to move. However, if you add on to an older home, it could cause some signs of settling due to the ground being moved.
