When one of the Sales guys from Dryone first inspected this property the CrawlSpace had previously been encapsulated incorrectly. This was no problem for our crew members as they were easily able to remove it and then properly encapsulate the CrawlSpace using CleanSpace
The previous vapor barrier in the Crawlspace had been improperly installed so to get the job done right the homeowners called the experts here at DryZone to come out and replace it. The first thing we had to do was remove the previous vapor barrier so that we could install CleanSpace which is a vapor barrier with much better protection that will prevent water coming in.
The homeowner has used this home as a beach house and recently moved in permanently. They would like their crawlspace cleaned up and fully renovated so that it is protected from humidity, microbial growth and kept dry. We recommended that they fully encapsulate the crawlspace to keep the area protected for the foreseeable future. We also created an opening under the rear addition and built a foamax wall. Lastly, we added 2 downspout extensions to the rear of the addition to keep water away from the home.
This homeowner was eager to protect and preserve his crawl space after seeing his neighbor's space and the work DryZone provided. He called DryZone and a team of DryZone experts were sent to his location. The homeowner made it clear that he is very adamant about taking care of his belongings and what to do so with his crawl space. His goal is to leave the home to his daughter without the stress of repair. The DryZone team got to work and determined that not only could the space benefit from encapsulation but also SmartJacks to help support the pier that was twisted and not supporting anything.
The DryZone experts removed all debris present (including falling insulation which was replaced with Foamax Wall insulation), fully encapsulated the crawl space with CleanSpace technology, and added two SmartJacks, a SmartSump, SaniDry Sedona, as well as a HyrdroLink Drainage System. The homeowner was beyond proud of his newly restored crawl space!
