Concrete Lifting and Leveling - The Void

In this photo it is hard to see how large the void really is. The depth is nearly 2 feet and almost 1 foot high in some places. It spread across an area that was almost 7 feet long! After laying the original concrete slabs, the recent nor'easter from the week prior left large void under the slab. The flooding had caused the foundation below to erode. The Pot Nets team attempted to fill the void with concrete, but when the concrete settled to the ground this was the result. With the race only days away there wasn't much time to add more concrete!
