PolyLevel Void Filling and Concrete Lifting
DryZone was contacted because they noticed the concrete slab that their HVAC units sat on was sinking towards the house. This was causing condensation and rain water to flow towards the house. The homeowners were worried that this might cause foundation issues for their home.  To avoid ripping up the concrete slab and replacing, they wanted to see if there was another option out there. DryZone answered the call and went out to visit the home. We made arrangements for our PolyLevel team to come out and fill and lift the slab. You can see in the pictures the end product of the lifted slab and the filled void.
Repairing a Settling Floor in Chestertown
Signs of settling were appearing in this Chestertown home. With sinking floors and sticking doors, this homeowner was starting to be concerned for the integrity of the piers underneath her kitchen. After a thorough inspection from a DryZone Design Specialist, it was discovered that her piers were sinking into the ground and there was high moisture in the crawlspace causing the wood to be soft. As a solution, DryZone installed SmartJacks and a support beam to level the floor above. To reduce the moisture in the air, the crawlspace and base of the SmartJacks were wrapped in CleanSpace. After placing a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier, the crawlspace was protected from further moisture damage.
Fixing Sagging Floors in Chestertown, MD
A homeowner in Chestertown, DE, was experiencing significant issues with their main level floor, which was sagging and bouncing. In search of a reliable solution, they contacted the experts at DryZone. Our System Design Specialist conducted a complimentary inspection and discovered that the wood beams had begun to sag, contributing to the problematic floor movement.   To address the foundation concerns, we implemented a solution involving four SmartJacks and a supplemental steel girder. The SmartJack System, provided by Foundation Supportworks INC, is designed to lift and stabilize existing beams and floor joists within crawlspaces. The process starts with the installation of a solid base composed of engineered fill, which addresses weak foundation soil by effectively redistributing the weight of the home onto stronger strata. Next, steel columns are firmly secured to the beams or joists, ensuring stability. The heavy-duty threaded rods allow for precise adjustments, ensuring a perfect fit for each SmartJack System installed.   DryZone is pleased to have assisted in resolving this homeowner's foundation issues, restoring stability and peace of mind to their home.
