After noticing how much water can damage a basement, this homeowner wanted to prevent a problem before it starts. The basement has always been clean and dry, and they wanted to keep it that way forever. DryZone encapsulated the walls and added a sump pump connected to a trench drain system to keep water intrusion from damaging the basement.
With open crawl space vents, this Magnolia, DE home was working much harder to regulate indoor temperatures. After blocking the vents and sealing the crawl space from the outside, this home is ready for any weather!
This upgrade came in the form of the TripleSafe sump pump, the HydroLink drainage system, and the instillation of CleanSpace. These combined will help to keep your garage dry through pumping water out, directing water to the pump. and preventing any moisture from seeping through. This is all done to keep the humidity levels low and prevent flooding to keep your crawlspace clean of mold and other nasty things.
This homeowner gave us a call because they noticed an external crack on their foundation. That caused them to give us a call to come out and take a look to see if there were damages on the inside part of their basement. We took out a decent sized piece of drywall on the opposite side of the external wall and noticed the foundation had a large crack running down it. We recommended repairing it with our FlexiSpan.
FlexiSpan will not reopen or leak like mortar-based repairs. It also permanently stops water leakage through any basement wall cracks.
The homeowner noticed a crack under their steps as well as water coming from around the pipe chase right below their crawlspace. Their crawlspace also is not encapsulated, so we will be adding CleanSpace Vapor Barrier to keep the area clean, dry and healthy.
FlexiSpan will fill and seal the crack to make sure no more water will come through in both areas. As for the crawlspace, we pulled out all of the old insulation so that we could properly encapsulate the area.
