Humidity Outside
The relative humidity outside of the crawl space is very low. These images were taken in the month of October.
Mold
A musty smell below the home was their reason for calling DryZone.
High Moisture Leads to Damage
The HVAC ducts and insulation was full of moisture, causing it to fall.
High Humidity Reading
This reading is taking on the same day inside of the home. See how much higher it is then outside. The humid air gets trapped inside, and that is what causes the mold.
Mold and Structural Damage
Looks like we were able to catch this crawl space's problems before they became bigger ones!
Standing Water
Water on top of a vapor barrier is never a good sign.
Moisture Seepage on the walls
You can clearly see here where moisture if seeping through the concrete walls. Just because there is concrete there, doesn't mean moisture can get in!
CleanSpace
The new vapor barrier will help keep the space from ground water seepage. The walls will have SilverGlo to help insulate the space. All these things will help prevent the mold from ever coming back. What you can't see if that we used our ShockWave Fog to kill the mold so it can't grow any more. Although the wood will be stained from the black mold we know that the mold is dead!
SaniDry Dehumidifier
A dehumidifier will reduce the amount of moisture in the air and prevent new mold from growing. Double Protection!
