Before
This is a picture of the direct crawl space before. there are signs that water has entered the crawl space at some point.
Before
Falling duct work and instillation are also signs of a water issue.
Before
You can see the broken and fallen duct work. As well you can see the vapor barrier has been moved and bunched up. This isn't going to stop any ground water form entering the crawl space.
Before
The vapor barriers that builders are required to put under the home do little to fix the ground water issues. You can see the mold and mildew starting to grow on the beams and floor joists
After
The crew used ShockWave Fog to kill the mold and mildew and then were able to instal the new Clean Space vapor barrier, drainage matting, and SaniDry.
After
You can see in this picture that we blocked the vents and insulated. Now the space will be energy efficient and dry.
After
This homeowner put in the SilverGlo insulation. This will keep the space warm in the winter and cool and in the summer. This replaces the insulation that was originally in the space that was covered in moisture and falling down.
After
Adding a dehumidifier to the space will insure that any moisture in the air is taken out. As well it will prevent any new mold from growing because the humidity level will drop to below 60%
After
Our SaniDry has a self-draining design, it can remove up to 109 pints of water per day in your crawl space, without ever needing to have its collection tray emptied. It can empty to a sump pump or drywell, or a special condensation pump can be added to discharge the water outside of your home.
After
As an additional benefit, the CleanSpace crawl space vapor barrier acts as a passive radon mitigation system. It is also compatible with your active radon mitigation system as well as products such as crawl space sump pumps and the SaniDry dehumidifier.
