Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Fully Renovating a Harbeson, DE Crawlspace

This homeowner has noticed that every time after it rains, water pools up and stays in the crawlspace. They mentioned it has been going on for quite some time now and are finally fed up with it and want to have it fixed and resolved permanently. Our team went out to scope out the crawlspace to see how we could help and recommended a handful of products that we could use to help solve their problem. Starting with a HydroLink drainage system, which allows water to flow and reach a SmartSump or TripleSafe sump pump system. There is a nylon sock that surrounds the pipe which adds an extra layer of filtration to prevent major clogging. We also installed CleanSpace with draining matting, SaniDry Sedona, IceGuard, SilverGlo and discharge lines. All of which help in the aid of keeping the crawlspace a clean, dry and healthy area.

Before CleanSpace

This shows what the crawlspace was lined with before we started our work. We will add CleanSpace which will help in keeping the area clean and healthy moving forward.

Water Filled Area

There were multiple areas in the crawlspace where water was pooled because there was no drainage system or sump pump.

Muddy Area

There had been so much water in certain areas of the crawlspace that it created piles of mud.

Drainage Matting

Drainage Matting Crawl space liners rest directly on the crawl space floor. If your crawl space is flooding, water can be trapped underneath, never making it to your perimeter drain. The raised dimples on our CleanSpace® Drainage Matting gives the water flooding into your crawl space a channel underneath your crawl space liner. This directs the water flooding your crawl space to your perimeter crawl space drain and sump pump system.

Hydrolink Drainage System

The Hydrolink system is placed around the perimeter of the crawlspace that will feed water into a sump pump and out of the home.

The Hydrolink system is placed around the perimeter of the crawlspace and under the drainage matting.

CleanSpace Vapor Barrier

A nasty crawl space can be transformed into a clean, dry, attractive and energy efficient space using the CleanSpace® encapsulation system.

Drainage Matting is added to the entirety of the crawlspace, where CleanSpace will be added on top of it.

The entirety of the area has been lined with drainage matting so if there is any water it can travel underneath the matting and CleanSpace Vapor Barrier.

Job Completed

Here you can see the crawlspace has been fully renovated using CleanSpace to line the area and a sump pump to pump water out of the area. Also added was a SaniDry Sedona as a dehumidifier.

More Water Pooling

This is another area where water had pooled and been sitting due to no drainage system and sump pump to clear it out of the home.

Hydrolink Perimeter Drain Prep

The process has been started to install the Hydrolink Perimeter drain system. This will be a straight line all around the area feeding into a Sump Pump.

Broken Sump Pump

They had a sump pump in their crawlspace, but it was broken and not functional. So, any water gathered, was not being pumped out.

Hydrolink Drainage System With Liner

The Hydrolink system is placed around the perimeter of the crawlspace that will feed water into a sump pump and out of the home. The lining around the pipe helps with filtration so nothing can clog the pipe or sump pump.

A straight line is dug from one side of the crawlspace to the other allowing water to flow through it and into a Triple Safe Sump Pump and out of the home.
