Insulation falling out of the floor cavity
Here you can see the fiberglass insulation falling from the cavity. This gives you ZERO insulation value.
Sagging insulation
Even if it hasn't fallen completely, the fiberglass insulation provides no insulation value if it sags. The gap over the fiberglass is known as "thermal bypass."
Fraying insulation
When you see this effect, it is usually due to heavy moisture in the crawlspace.
Insulation holds moisture as well
You can see the water droplets on the insulation. Fiberglass insulation is not the best way to insulate your home.
Completely fallen on the floor
We see this way too often. The piece of insulation has gotten so heavy with moisture that it falls onto the floor. How much good is it doing you when its laying in a puddle?
Improper installation
Even if the insulation is still stuck in place, the builders usually leave excess pieces hanging there. This is nothing more then a mold factory.
Yikes!!!
I wouldn't be surprised to find mold living in luxury in this mound of fallen insulation.
