Nasty Conditions, Old Plastic
The strips of insulation that are hanging are basically sponges for the moisture in the air. They hold that water up against the wood and start to cause rot and mold growth. The plastic that was installed after the home was built never really accomplished anything. Now, years later, it is shredding and moved from years of servicemen and small floods. The only thing left to do is pull it out and replace it with a quality product.
Before the Work Started
Open air and a sandy ground is a bad thing in a crawl space. The sand helps to drain the ground water out of sight, but the wet sand stays behind and adds to the humidity.
After CleanSpace
Drainage pipes and sump pumps go in before the CleanSpace. Once they are in place, the crew begins works on installing the heavy duty vapor barrier.
Finished Product
The CleanSpace not only looks great, but is super resistant to tears. When the crew is cutting it to size during install, they have to use brand new razor knives every couple hours. You can rest easy knowing that once the liner is in place, it will last for a very long time.
SaniDry CX
The SaniDry CX is an amazing dehumidifier air system. It actually scrubs the air of tiny particles like mold and other airborne allergens. It then goes to work drying the air. It is the most efficient machine of its kind available.
Draining the Dehumidifier
Do you remember the old style dehumidifiers with a bucket that needed to be emptied all the time? Well, they still make those things. It's a little like trying to buy 8 track cassettes in this digital age, they are just outdated. The SaniDry CX has a drain port on either side that allows for automatic draining into a sump or other kind of pump. This means you'll never have to climb in the crawl space to empty a bucket.
IceGuards
Each sump pump discharge gets an IceGuard. This simple solution to an everyday issue is what DryZone uses to prevent frozen and clogged pipes from backing up. When the ground freezes, so will the water in the discharge pipes. Without an IceGuard the pipes would cause the water to flow back into the home, or even crack a pipe from the pressure. Lucky for you the IceGuard is there to save the day.
