After a couple years, the crawlspace still looks fantastic
The SaniDry CX only needs the filter changed once a year, as opposed to other units that need service every six months. It can drain directly into a sump pump so you will never have to worry about emptying a bucket. The CleanSpace crawlspace liner is crisp, clean, and sturdy. In fact, the service tech found no tears at all while crawling around.
SaniDry has easy-to-use dials
Here at DryZone, we do not recommend that the homeowner's adjust the settings on their SaniDry dehumidifiers. They are complex machines and all of our service techs go through many hours of training to learn how to use and repair them. One quick tip, just in case you have moved a dial, is that the unit will turn off and stay off for a few minutes at a time. If you have accidentally turned the unit off and then try to turn it back on immediately, it won't come back on. This is a feature to prevent burning out the motor. The best thing to do is to just let it run on its own. The internal sensors will automatically shut off when the humidity gets low enough.
Changing filters in SaniDry dehumidifier
You can see just how much dirt and filth the filter picks up in a year's time. Remember that the top filter is a lot like a lint trap, so the dirty filter on the left is the bottom layer of two filters. This means that the air coming out of the SaniDry is as close to purified air as you are ever going to get in a crawlspace. It is free of mold spores, allergens, and other tiny problems.
Servicing the sump pump
Even though DryZone uses top of the line sump pumps, it is important to have them serviced at least once a year. A sump pump is your best line of defense against a flooded crawlspace. After all, you wouldn't buy a fancy car and then never take it to a shop for routine maintenance.
Still clean after a few years
CleanSpace is so sturdy and thick that it almost never tears. Even if you have plumbers, HVAC techs, or electricians crawling all over it, this liner will hold up.
Testing the humidity levels
One of the services that DryZone provides is that we check all around the crawlspace for high humidity levels. The top number on the meter is the relative humidity in the crawlspace. Even all the way on the other side (away from the dehumidifier) the level is still at around 56% which is perfect. This lets us know that the whole system is operating like a well oiled machine.
Protecting the HVAC unit
HVAC units can be very expensive to replace. So keeping the humidity low will prevent the condensation from gathering and rusting the components. CleanSpace does so much more than just keep the dirt and humidity down, it really is like adding a layer of whole house protection.
