Bare dirt adds moisture to the air
Even if the top layer of dirt appears dry, the ground underneath is pretty much always damp. This moisture will find its way up into the crawlspace. Raised moisture means the humidity goes up, and with high humidity comes mold growth.
Flat ground, the area is prepped and ready for CleanSpace
Our team will prepare the crawlspace before installing CleanSpace. This means they will rake up any plant life and large stones. Its important to remember that the ground will never be as flat as a piece of glass, but we do our best. This is for looks as well as durability. We want to avoid little valleys under the liner so you don't kneel in them when crawling on your new crawlspace liner.
Crawlspace sump pump
This homeowner chose to add a sump pump to the project. Our crawlspace sump pumps are always a good idea for any crawlspace, even if its never been flooded. The rule is that it won't get flooded...until it does. What this means is that any below ground space has the ability to flood, this homeowner took a pro active step and installed a sump pump before the disaster strikes. She also chose to put it close to a water pipe, there is an alarm on the lid of the sealed sump pump. This alarm will let her know if the pipe starts to leak so she can catch it early before it becomes a bigger problem.
Long flat areas, the moisture is locked out
You can see the difference between when the dirt was exposed and after the CleanSpace is installed. Now this crawlspace will be safe from high humidity, dirt, and mold growth. Those who have had this process completed say that ever the "feel" is better. You can literally sleep in the crawlspace if you wanted.
