Wet and nasty crawlspace
The 6 mil plastic that most houses come with will actually degrade over time. It tears easily, even when its brand new. Many times it turns to the thickness of tissue paper and then dust. DryZone specializing in a major upgrade to a heavy liner that will last for many years to come.
Nasty conditions in the crawlspace
Many homeowners store thing in the crawlspace. Things like extra siding, roof shingles, and even patio furniture and beach gear. Those things will easily get ruined in the average crawlspace. The humidity will help mold grow on some things, it will rust metal and make everything stink. When you seal the crawlspace and create a nice clean environment you can store almost anything in the crawlspace with no worry.
Proper equipment to maintain a clean and dry crawlspace
In this picture, you can see the SaniDry CX dehmidifier, SmartSump sump pump system with a battery back up pump, and the CleanSpace liner. All of these things are components in a system. Not unlike a car, you need wheels, and engine, and a body. Take away any of those parts and the car wouldn't work very well. This home is now dry and clean, the smells are going away and the wood is able to dry.
Sealing the vents and adding the CleanSpace vapor barrier
If you look along the top end of the white liner, you will see a silver block. That is the foundation vents after we have sealed it up using our SilverGlo insulation. This will ensure that no wet and nasty air will creep in through the vent. The CleanSpace is pulled almost all the way up the crawlspace wall. We leave a small gap so that you can still get your termite inspections done without damaging your new vapor barrier.
Wrapping the foundation piers
We wrap up the foundation piers so that it looks great as well as jeeps a nice seal around the entire crawlspace. See how much better the crawlspace looks with a heavy liner like the CleanSpace system?
Detail oriented
Even the small pipes and wires that go through the foundation wall are wrapped and sealed. Its these small details that sets DryZone apart from other companies. We aim to get as complete of a system as possible. We want your home to look and feel dry and secure from mold and rot.
