Standing Water
This crawl space in Lewes had areas where there was noticeable standing water. Much more then just a moisture issue!
Liners that just don't work
You can see that the liner that is already down is not effective. You can see the exposed ground and dirt. This will allow for moisture to enter the crawl space through the ground. Liners that are not adhered to the walls can be shifted and moved when people are under the home working on plumbing or another system under the home.
Mold
You can see mold growing on the wood. Eventually the mold will begin to break down the wood causing structural issues.
Wood Moisture Reading
You can see here that the readings taken under the home indicated a high level of moisture and mold.
Dirty Crawl Spaces
This environment is ideal for critters, bugs, and pests! Not to mention mold.
Debris and Trash
Some people will even leave their trash under your crawl space. In this photo you can see a water bottle left by another person working under the home.
Other System Under your home
DryZone makes sure that we take care and don't disturb the other systems under your home.
CleanSpace the walls
You can see that DryZone has used CleanSpace on the walls to help seal out the moisture and make sure that the liner stays in place!
SaniDry and New Sump Pump
This homeowner was installed a new sump pump to drain the water under the CleanSpace and also installed a SaniDry Dehumidifier to make sure the the mold could never grow again!
Ice Guard and Pop Up
Outside of the house the homeowner opted to instal an ice guard and pop up. This will allow water to drain out of the sump pump. And in the event that there is a big freeze the water cannot go back up into the crawl space because of the Ice Guard!
