Improving a crawlspace entrance

This home had an old sheet metal door on the crawlspace entrance. It was rusted and warped and provided almost no protection from the elements. Also, the ground was sloped towards the entry and so when it rained the water would flow right towards the door. The brand new Everlast crawlspace door will stand up to the elements and never rust or warp. The new shroud and bed of stone will help to keep the rain water away from the door and out of the crawlspace.

Brand new Turtl crawlspace entry system

Are you tired of stepping in a puddle of water as soon as you crawl into your crawlspace? Some of that water is probably coming in through your old metal door. A Turtl is made of heavy-duty plastic and will never warp, rust, or rot. It has a solid bottom to keep ground water from coming up into it. A Turtl is also airtight which means the nasty humid air is going to stay out of the crawl space as well.

CleanSpace in a wet and dirty crawlspace

The old 6 mil liner that gets installed after the house is built only serves to keep your knees a little cleaner. The edges are loose and that lets the moist air escape into the crawlspace. When that happens, the humidity goes up and leads to mold outbreaks. With the CleanSpace system in place, the wetness is sealed in the dirt and the air, wood, and insulation can dry out.

Improving a crawlspace entrance with a high quality Turtl

The Turtl is a great way to improve on a leaky crawlspace entry. The old metal door rusts and warps, the entry well will fill up with water and mud. Thankfully the Turtl is air tight and water tight. It will keep all the rain and ground water out of the crawlspace.

Drying out the crawl space

A dry crawl space is one of the best ways to get your home healthier and more efficient. The wood support beams will dry out over time and become more rigid. The air conditioner and heating units will work more efficiently since it is easier to heat and cool dry air. One of the biggest differences people notice is the smells getting better. Mold and mildew are some pretty offensive odors, and the CleanSpace system helps to eliminate them for good.
