FlexiSpan Used to Seal Crack
We used FlexiSpan to permanently fill and seal the crack that was in this wall.
Minor Cut Made to Inspect Area
We had to make a small cut in the wall near the source of water. While taking a look, we noticed the crack went both up higher into the wall and below it as well.
Basement Closet
The root of the problem was coming from this downstairs closet. Right outside the closet in a carpeted area and luckily the homeowners caught the issue before the water reached the carpet.
Downspout Extension
We extended the downspout 10ft from the house and added a LawnScape outlet to ensure water is taken further away from the foundation of the home and cannot cause anymore wall cracks
Crack Severity
What started as a small sized cracked from initial inspection, we discovered that it ran all the way down into the floor. FlexiSpan can be used to cover any length crack to seal it permanently.
Above the Pipe
What started as a small sized cracked from initial inspection, we discovered that it ran all the way to the top into of the ceiling. FlexiSpan can be used to cover any length crack to seal it permanently.
Original Downspout
This is the homeowner's downspout that they wanted to extend to ensure water is pushed further away from the home.
Water Stains
Here shows the stains that the water left from coming in through the crack in the wall.
Before Initial Inspection
This is what the room looked like before we started our inspection to find the source of the water.
Initial Cut into the Drywall
This is what we found after making the initial cut around the pipe. You can see the crack goes below the pipe close to the floor.
Flexispan Around Pipe
Because the crack in the wall right behind the small portion of the pipe, we needed to use FlexiSpan around the entire area. This is to make sure that the whole area is protected from any further water damage and cracks.
