Filling the drilled holes
Production Manager Kenny Sharpless is pumping the grout under the concrete slab. We do this in order to stabilize the sagging concrete floor.
Pumping concrete
Kenny has to fill many holes in the slab to achieve the desired effect of stabilizing the floor. This process can be used to strengthen a cracked slab, attempt to lift a sagging floor, fix a sidewalk, and repair a driveway. There are several applications for mudjacking.
After mudjacks are completed
After all the cavities are filled and the floor becomes stable, we clean the area and pack up all the equipment needing during the mudjacking process.
Outside edge of the slab
You can see the mix has started to spill out from under the edge of the concrete slab. This lets the crew and homeowner know that the slurry is reaching the entire area. On a side note, the plywood used to be a sliding glass door. Hurricane Sandy was so severe that this home got hit by breaking waves that shattered the door. These waves also eroded the ground under the garage which made the existing problem much worse and necessitated the mudjacking in the first place.
