Barry and Margaret out on the 6th tee
DryZone had three locations on the course to help golfers with refreshment. Systems Designer Barry Adkins volunteered his Friday to lend a hand. We were also fortunate to have a few Habitat volunteers to keep us company. This is Margaret Reyes, the Manager of Family Services for Sussex County Habitat. She was a great help all day, and a real pleasure to be around.
No walking for us
Thanks to Schell Brothers for sponsoring the carts. It would have been near impossible to haul our equipment, coolers, and ice all by hand. Our Marketing Coordinator, Brad Wazlavek, strikes a pose.
Beautiful day on the course
This is the 18th hole on the Midway Par 3 course. As you can see, not a cloud in the sky. Considering it poured most of the day on Saturday (the day after), I'd say we got pretty lucky. Everyone had a great time for an excellent cause.
Early morning on the golf course
This is our setup at the 12th hole. Looks like things are about to pick up. This picture was taken around 8:30 in the morning. The event ran from about 9:00 to 5:00 in the evening.
6th tee box
This is the setup at the 6th hole. Barry joked that they were dodging golf balls all day. Many a golfer could be found relaxing and enjoying the refreshments and shade at the DryZone tent.
The gang's all here
Barry, Margaret, and DryZone Owner Bill Anderson take a moment for a photo op at the 12th hole.
Certificate of Sponsorship
Sussex County Habitat for Humanity gave us a nice framed certificate to commemorate the event. It was a very nice and unexpected gesture.
