From humble beginnings...
DryZone started in early 2006 with just a couple guys and a trailer. Since that time the company has grown to almost 40 employees. On any given day there are 12 DryZone trucks on the road heading to crawl spaces and basements all over the Delmarva Peninsula. It's always a fun conversation when someone brings up stories from the past.
So many people thought that Bill and Gary were crazy for trying to put plastic liners in crawl spaces. But a funny thing happened! The little company with the plastic liners has grown into the largest waterproofing company on the shore. One of the biggest reasons for this success is that the products and services we offer work. Some of the very same people that called them crazy were calling back to get the work done. Every homeowner has seen real results; whether it came in the form of warmer floors, better air quality, or lower energy bills.
Over the years, DryZone has made changes and upgrades to the product line and installation methods. There are dealers throughout the Basement Systems network that call Bill and Gary to ask advice on things like 'how to install Smart Vents' or 'the proper way to drive a helical pier'. In the summer of 2012, DryZone became too big for the office and had to search for a new building. Within the past year, DryZone has hired around 12 new employees in various departments. The crew members are being promoted and the inspectors are seeing more new homeowners than ever before. In fact, in the past year the inspectors have driven the equivalent of more than twice around the world. Not bad for the little company with the trailer.
The future is wide open, and the good news for those homeowners who have yet to call is that the expertise and service is only getting better. We treat every homeowner as if they are the only one. This experience has become our reputation in the industry. The feedback is flowing in everyday to both boost the confidence of those who work here and guide our policies and direction. From everyone here at DryZone, thank you for helping to make our dreams come true while also helping to make Delmarva a dry zone.
