Any little "out of the ordinary" things are no problem for DryZone's skilled professionals

Leaning Pillar  Basement finishing is not always just throwing up walls, ceiling, and floors. Many times the small things are overlooked. Basements are full of things like support columns, uneven concrete floors, sewer pipes, and utilities jutting out of the wall. When these things start to creep up on a project, there is no one better than an experienced contractor. DryZone has several foremen from different walks of life, some used to build houses or install drywall. Others worked in the flooring industry or hung drop ceilings. The point is that anything that might look like a problem or challenge is just business as usual for the guys at DryZone.

The crooked pillar...

One of these types of challenges came up recently on a basement finishing project in New Castle, DE. There was a support column that looked pretty straight at first glance. When our foreman put a level on it, he discovered that it was anything but straight up and down. He talked to the homeowner, and together they came up wiAfterwardsth a great idea. There are always nice scrap pieces of wall material, baseboard, and crown molding so why not building a pillar around the crooked column? The end result was really a nice addition to the room. It turned the otherwise unsightly steel pole into a decorative accent to the room. The homeowner was thrilled, in part because he got to help design something unique from scratch.
