Getting happier and healthier with proper crawlspace insulation

Have you made your New Year’s Resolution yet? Ever think about trying to make your house healthier and more comfortable? What about saving money in the process?

There are several ways that a conditioned crawlspace can help make your home healthier and more comfortable. This time of year, most people call us because they are cold in their homes. The gas and electric bills are on the rise and a lot of people are tired of bleeding money. Other than not being comfortable in the home, the cold air usually leads to getting sick. The solution would be to keep the air warm and avoid getting the sniffles.

What a lot of people don’t understand is that the air in your home comes mostly from underneath. If the crawlspace air is cold, then the air in your home is cold. When you properly insulate your crawlspace using a product like our SilverGlo, you can keep the air warm and save money on your overall heating costs. Stopping cold air from coming in through the walls of your crawlspace will stop most of the cold air from coming up into the house. And what happens when the air in your house stays warms? The answer is that you don’t run your heater as much.

SilverGlo is one of the best insulation products you can get in a crawlspace. It is a closed cell rigid foam board.  In plain English this means that it doesn’t absorb water and is applied evenly on the walls. SinInstalling SilverGlo on the walls of a crawlspacece we aren’t spraying it on like some of the “spray foam” products out there, we are giving you a high insulation value throughout with no gaps. It will basically be the last insulation you will ever need, no more replacing the old fiberglass insulation every few years.

Make your home feel better and ultimately save money with a call to DryZone.  We will get you on your way to a new, dry, and warmer crawl space!
