Rob Roberts named as Employee of the Year

  Once a year, DryZone likes to recognize the outstanding employees that make our business run so smoothly. We all get together and enjoy a nice meal as a “family.” We exchange gifts and joke about this and that, and the atmosphere is very loose. This year we chose another local business to host our event: Bethany Blues restaurant in Lewes, DE. The food there is outstanding, including brisket that you need a spoon to eat because it is so tender it falls apart at the slightest touch.

There are always several moving speeches about how each member of Team DryZone is valued. One of the nicest speeches this year came from our Quality Assurance Manager, Heather Anderson. Heather takes classes online towards a degree in psychology and recently wrote a term paper on a very special relationship in her life. While most people in her class wrote about spouses or children, Heather chose to write about her “partner in crime” Rob Roberts. Heather and Rob pretty much run the show here at DryZone. Before Rob came to us, Heather did everything by herself as far as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and billing - on top of running the entire Service Department. But these days, Rob takes much of the stress off of her shoulders by handling the Call Center quite well.  Heather nearly came to tears several times by the thought of what her life would be like if not for Rob's involvement. They are quite the pair! We all love Rob and it was no surprise when Heather pulled out a box and named Rob the Employee of the Year.

  Here at DryZone, we really are a big family. We share in each others joys and help each other through tough times. Rob and Heather are a shining example of how working with the right kinds of people can make every day feel so much better.
