Elkton, MD home needed foundation supported
What happens when your house is slipping down the hill it is built into? And what happens when that hill makes it impossible to get heavy equipment to the work area? Luckily for homeowners with this situation (and it happens more then you might think) our push piers can be installed internally. Foundation Supportworks designed its piers to be installed essentially by hand. No heavy equipment is needed so that your basement doesn’t get ruined in the process. This also comes in handy if there is a deck/patio or nice landscaping on the exterior of the home that prevents external installation.
Recently DryZone went out to Elkton, MD for a very nice couple who were fed up with the cracks in their basement. They had dealt with the cracks for several years and were worried that if it wasn’t fixed soon, it would become worse. The kitchen window had not been opened in almost five years, because it was stuck shut from the amount the walls had twisted. The trick part was getting to the area in order to fix the problem. It was a very thin walkway outside the basement and there was no way of getting the mini excavator down the path in order to install helical piers. We went inside the basement and found that the area was clear of pipes, HVAC, water heater, washer/dryer, etc. It was the ideal situation for internal push piers. We did our job in just one day, cleaned up and got to enjoy a beautiful view as an added bonus. The homeowner was thrilled and got to open her kitchen window to let in the breeze for the first time in years.
DryZone proudly serves the Pocomoke, Snow Hill, Chester, and Sudlersville areas. As well as many more.
