The Wonderful WaterGuard System

gbWhen your basement floods, what are your options?

Although there are many theories on the way to fix a leaky basement, the WaterGuard System is by far the most efficient and effective solution.

There are many basement waterproofing methods. Among the best is a sub-floor drainage system installed along the entire area of your basement floor. One of the biggest challenges with this drainage system is to keep it from being clogged by mud or silt. Another challenge is to make sure the drainage system accepts water from the wall without leaving a large gap at the edge of the floor. The gap can collect dirt and debris, and also clog your drain.

The WaterGuard system has everything you need to avoid this problem. It is designed to seperate from the soil under your floor so it will never clog. It is a rigid pipe, as opposed to the flimsy, flexible pipe that most contractors use. It sits on top of the footer instead of in the dirt. It also comes equipped with clean-out ports. These three things alone make WaterGuard a superior system for stopping water from ruining your basement.

When you install a flexible pipe in the dirt next to your footer, it has the tendency to clog up and kink. The WaterGuard System rests on the clean concrete footer. If by some crazy chance it gets dirt in it, you need to only lift the lid on a clean out port and flush the system. You can actually see the water inside the pipe through this port. This lets you know it is working. No other basement waterproofing system comes close to the WaterGuard System.
