The UltraSump battery back-up system sits on top of the primary pump, the reason for this is the UltraSump will only turn on when water bypasses the primary pump. The UltraSump battery back-up system is able to pump over 11,000 gallons of water from a single charged battery. The UltraSump comes with a charging system that is able to keep the battery charged while the battery is on. An alarm is also intergrated into the charging system to alert you the UltraSump is operating.
